Ibolya was born and raised in Romania. She studied at the Department of Film, Photography, and Media as a Director in Sepienta University between 2010-2013, then she started her Masters at the University of Theatre and Film Arts, Budapest as a Documentary Film Director. She is very interested in the elderly, their life experiences, their views on the world and how they reflect on their own lives. Her previous short documentary, ‘NEVER IN LOVE. 52 YEARS OF FAITHFULNESS’ deals with this exact topic from the perspective of an elderly married couple. ‘Dreams at Sunset’ has a motivation to broaden this theme to three different story lines.
