I usually think of myself as a re-arranger of images and sounds who enjoys toying with things, much the same as I enjoy fairy-tales and the logic of dreams. In my real life I am a journalist cum selftaught TV/film director, meaning that I feel myself comfortable at creating content for TV. I started on this track some time ago by joining the team of “Vides Filmu Studija” to work on their half-hour weekly TV magazine "Vides Fakti" broadcast by the Latvian public TV. Some years later I nurtured my own 'produce' - the weekly half-hour wilderness gourmet adventure programme "Est ir tava daba" (To Eat Is In Your Nature) and the Nordic inspiration-seeking programme "Ziemelu puse" (Nordic Style). Luckily they allow me to practice and improve my cinema language skills on a regular basis. Besides the TV programmes, there are two short feature films that I'm proud to call "my films": these are "The Red Spot" and "KK-2678". Last but not least, there is the adventure documentary "Stuck In Stikine" (83 min., 2007).
