Alina Manolache (30) is a Bucharest-based director of documentary films, whose works are collective portraits that follow the logic of experience and the sensuality of the moment, rather than traditional chronologies. After getting her diploma in Fine Arts, she moved temporarily to Paris to tell the story of the museum guards of Centre Pompidou - in her first documentary project, "Your Visit Starts Here". Back to Romania, she directed the coming-of-age documentary short "End of Summer" (Visions du Réel 2016) and began working on her first feature-length project, "Lost Kids on the Beach" (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam IDFA 2020). Her newest short piece, "I Am Here", was invited to be part of the omnibus "Journey Around the Home in 60 Days" (Jihlava IFF 2020).
