Julija Zubavičienė (born in 1984) in 2008 received her BA in film directing at VGIK (Moscow). In 2014 she graduated from London Royal Holloway University where she had studied scriptwriting. Her graduate short film Hunger (2008) was nominated for Silver Crane award in Lithuania. Her script for a short film was longlisted in London Film Fund and diploma work was shortlisted in BBC Writers Room.. Lida Vanda Liusia is her first feature film.
