Born in 1964 in Brussels, Belgium. Grew up in Brussels and made her B. A. in journalism. Moved to San Francisco, USA, where she continued to study Radio, Film and Television; she realized several short documentaries and continued documentary filmmaking in Europe including "Thruth Under Siege", "Kronenzeitung","The Woman Caravan" and "Greetings from the Colonies".When Nathalie Borgers returned to Austria in 2000,she witnessed the rise of the Freedom Party of Jorg Haider into the Austrian government. But it was not until the continuos admiration among his followers five years later even after Jorg Haider's lethal car crash in 2008, when Borgers got interested in the myth around Haider, when she tried to see what is behind this myth with the only possible way: with the view from the outside.
