Olga Struskova, TV and theatre director, studied philosophy at the Charles University in Prague, later modern literature and art in London. Since 1977 worked in the Czechoslovak TV as the writer and script editor. In 1985 started co-operation with Japanese NHK TV mainly on drama works. In 1990 she received, as the first foreigner ever, the HBF /Japan Cultural Foundation/ Prize for Personal Achievement in the Field of Broadcasting. Since 1992 dedicates her creativity mainly to the documentary productions as the writer, director and producer. Until now she has realised more than 60 documentary projects and four feature co-production films.She dedicates her creativity mainly to the social subjects and matters of ethnic minorities.
