Richard Kromp studied physics in Vienna and founded his small film production company Film Argentique in 2003, designing and realizing music and web videos, art and image films. His animation film "The Cuckoo In The Socket" (2011) achieved the first place in the film competition of the french organisation "Réseau Sortir du nucléaire“, category "Coup de Coeur". Richard works as a scientific employee at the Center for Global Change and Sustainability at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna. Art and social comittment have been coexisting in his life for many years. For the short documentary "Will and Wool" (2015), he was responsible for camera, editing and production. "American Vienna" is his first full lengh documentary.
