The German-Italian producer Flavia Oertwig took a Fine Masters Degree in Philosophy and Media Theory at Hamburg University, Germany where she also worked as a Tutor and a Masters in Audiovisual Management, MEGA at the Media Business School (Spain). She worked as a script reader, script editor and junior producer for public, private TV and production companies and as a production manager,1st Ad as well as working in a Marketing Company.Before setting up her own company first in Italy (Intrigo Internazionale srl), later in Germany (Tama Filmproduktion) she worked as Head of Development and as a freelance consultant in Italy (Downtown Pictures, Eagle Pictures, Eurofilm).In 2013 she produced the short Vivre Berlin (Germany, France) by Nehra Stella.In 2012 she produced Sarah Revoltella’s feature debut Il Cerchio Rotto (The Broken Circle, Italy), backed by the Film Fund of the Region of Veneto, the Province of Veneto and the City of Padova, still in post-production.In 2011 she was selected for Eave’s Ties That Bind (Media Mundus Programme) with 8 Pairs of Filipino Director Milo Sogueco.In 2010 she co-produced Pink Gang by Enrico Bisi, (won Nje Bote - One World Human?Rights International Documentary Film Festival 2011, Bellaria Film Festival…).In 2008 she served as field producer on Religulous (USA 2008), by Larry Charles, an Thousand Words/HBO production, distributed by Lionsgate (presented at Toronto Int. FF, won New Visions Award at Sitges FF).She is working with Vittoria Fiumi’s feature documentary Nermina’s World, winner of the work in progress Salani Award 2013, shortlisted at the script award Premio Solinas 2012, in co-production with Mira Film, Switzerland and in development with Domenica (WT Italy), by Bonifacio Angius, Gramsci by Stefano Obino and with Simon Nino, Animation Series by Jakob Wehrmann in collaboration with edelbytes, Berlin.
