Steve L. Lichtag, film producer and director, was born March 4, 1954 in Znojmo, Czech Republic, graduated from State Conservatory in Brno. In 1980-90 he lived and worked in the USA. In 1990, founded the Prague-based independent production company Comfact. His films, focused on the protection of nature, particularly of underwater world, have been broadcast on TV networks worldwide. His documentary film Carcharias - The Great White (2001) premiered on NBC. Since 2001, president of the Crystal Planet Foundation. His films have won many international awards.
