Martin Páv graduated from the Department of Fiction Directing at FAMU and is pursuing a PhD at Metropolitan University Prague, focusing on postcolonial identity in informal settlements of the Global South. He is involved in research projects on the impacts of the climate crisis on society. He directed three award-winning documentaries. His debut, Vote for Kibera (2018), was screened at international festivals and won the Audience Award at Ji.hlava IDFF. His second film, Wolves at the Borders (2020), premiered at Visions du Reel. His third feature, Dajori (2024), portrays a Romani family in Northern Bohemia and won two award at Ji.hlava IDFF.
