Barbora Kinkalova was born in Prague, studied Film and Tv Production at the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) and started to work as a production manager and executive producer on films. Mostly fiction films for theatrical release, one of them won the Best Czech Film award in 2008 (The Karamazovs, dir. Petr Zelenka, Czech- Polish coproduction, funded by Eurimages), but also documentaries. For 3 years, she worked as a head of production department in the National Film Archive. She works as a producer in her own production company called Happy Film and also for Punk Film production on feature documentaries.
