Antonín Chundela, born on 3 December 1970 in Prague, at fifteen years of age he started studying at the Secondary School of Communication Technologies. Following his Leaving Certificate examination in autumn 1988, he worked in the Czechoslovak Television for 3 years as an assistant cameraman. In the spring of 1991 he started his compulsory military service in Banska Bystrica. In 1995 he became a student at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts - Film Faculty and graduated in 2000.
