Jan Pavlacký grew up in Africa, studied directing in Rome, speaks several languages and currently lives in Prague. Since 1997 he worked as 1st A.D. on film sets varying from big-budget blockbusters to low budget music videos. He is now demonstrating this experience into his own directing style. At the moment beside the documentary The Ball he is preparing a short film based on true events. His general style encompasses storytelling with actors and real people.
