Katka Reszke is a documentary filmmaker, writer, and photographer. In 2002, she immigrated to Israel, where she acquired a Ph.D. in Jewish Education from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. While she continues her activity as a researcher in Jewish History and Identity, since 2007 she has been focusing on her work on documentary filmmaking. Katka Reszke’s work in filmmaking includes directing, scriptwriting, editing, as well as still photography. Among her current projects is the production of Karski & the Lords of Humanity, which combines animation and documentary. Katka Reszke acted as editor and assistant director for The Peretzniks (TVP1, 2009), co-editor for Paint What You Remember, and second director and editor of Trans-Action (HBO Poland 2010). Katka also co-directed with Slawomir Grunberg Coming Out Polish Style (Canal Plus 2011). She is the author of “Return of the Jew: Identity Narratives of the Third Post-Holocaust Generation of Jews in Poland”.
