Child of the Revolution

On December 22, 1989, Alina was 12 years old. She lived in Romanian countryside with her grandparents while Ceaucescu and his wife flew away by helicopter. The couple was executed only a few days later. 22 years later, Alina lives and works in France. Together with her French boyfriend she decides to go back to Romania to collect the memories of her closest family and friends, of these few days of December 1989. The authors set themselves on a journey, meeting several people living in different places, interviewing them about the life under Ceausescu. Their experience during the revolution, as well as their vision of the modern Romania, are discussed.
