The Figure Skater
The documentary film will tell about Tomas Verner (CZE, European champion 2008), his journey as a man and figure skater. The documentary film would like to show the background of figure skating too (choosing programs, making choreography, costumes, competitions etc.). This documentary film is a unique and independent project. I recorded Tomas’s journey during 11 years. It is an original work describing the entire journey from its very start to the point where his goal is reached, which nobody else has a chance to record. The documentary has been founded on friendship and unusually open communication. Tomas Verner is not only featured in the document, but is also involved in its creation.
Kashitu
The documentary film will be about the village of Kashitu, Zambia. It will show how the ordinary people live in this area, and also the activities of the non-profit organization New Renato Community Society (Renato means a new start or renovation), founded by them. Its activites serve everyone in this area. They organize the education, agriculture courses, medical care, nourishment of children, youth and senior groups, work with HIV positives, build schools, water pumps, etc. They found the way of bringing up and educating the society in Africa. The documentary film will tell the story mainly with pictures. The dramatical line will be based on the true stories of the people in Kashitu, put together to show everything as in one day spent in Kashitu. It will be a documentary film with art value.
