Ten Years
In 2001, they were five students of a Prague grammar school. They were young and naive and the graduation exam was but a few months ahead. Ten years later, they are no more teenagers but adult people with opinions and life styles of their own. The observational project is mapping the life stories of several young people of the same age who once stood at the same starting line.
La Mona
After twenty-one years in the jungle, La Mona lays down her weapon. At just fourteen, she joined Colombia’s largest rebel army, seeking survival and purpose. When peace finally comes, she leaves the mountains to begin again, but starting over is not simple. She struggles to reconnect with the son she was forced to abandon and to redefine herself in a society that calls her a terrorist. When tragedy strikes, she learns that peace offers no protection from the past. As vengeance tempts her, La Mona must choose: return to arms or break the cycle of violence consuming her family and her country. Filmed over seven years, this is an intimate portrait of a woman shaped by war and tested by fragile peace.
