Michal Pavlíček's Heart Matters
Music documentary about the phenomenal Czech guitarist and composer. Michal Pavlíček is almost sixty and in full work deployment. In the last six years, he worked on film score of the Odcházení (dir. Václav Havel) and music for several Czech TV series. He was approached by the BBC to compose the score for the series Merlin. In late 2010 he finally released the long-awaited “triple” CD played a series of acoustic concerts and restored assembly BSP. In December 2012 Pavlíček toured with Pražský výběr and two years later the venues resounded the legendary Stromboli. Pavlíček collaborates with Michal Nejtek, Richard Müller and others. Recently, he has been experiencing health problems and likes to be with his family as much as possible. Pavliček’s work on almost ten major music projects - from classical music to classic rock is the main motive of the film. How does he think about music, how does he work, what inspires his infinite musical themes for films and his music? Director Miloslav Doležal submit personal confession of “self-centered” rocker, composer and man, revealing the gradual birth of music.
