Synopse
Our film tells the dramatic story of Esther, a
mother suffering from bipolar depression, and
her son, Peter. Esther is a publicist, an essayist,
a critic, an editor, a translator, an art-historian, a
university lecturer and researcher. Her lectures
are extremely popular, she's a genuine
speaker. Peter goes to university in London
where he studies chemistry. The film observes
their unique relationship. Esther tries really hard
not to be a burden for him, while Peter tries
to be as supportive as he can – but actually
these two motives do contradict each
other.Though bipolar disorder has been a wellknown
mental health issue for many years,
public discussion is very rare on the subject,
very few affected go public. This is film is created to
provoke and to initiate discussion.
