Synopse
A residential building in Sisak, originally constructed
for Ironworks workers to mark the introduction of self-
management, undergoes a profound transformation
seventy years later. As part of a European relocation
program, refugees from the Middle East move into
apartments once inhabited by the local working class.
Like the previous generation, many soon leave in search
of better opportunities in Germany. This cycle of arrival
and departure is abruptly disrupted by a devastating
earthquake. In its aftermath, a new working class
emerges—Nepalese workers hired to demolish the very
building they temporarily inhabit, bringing the story full
circle.
