Synopse
It may be the same place where time stops for one person and keeps on going for somebody else. Home is a place where we are "at ours", while the others feel guests. But perhaps it is us being guests in a place where the others feel at home? What if our home is also a home for someone we don't know? Szczecin, the city in the northwest Poland, is a place where such questions appear. Polish people came to this German region after the World War II, when it was established Polish. Most of them were people resettled from the Eastern boundaries of the country. They were idealizing their lost homes for the whole life. Therefore my parents were never any kind of local patriots. My generation (born in the 80‘s) is the first to thinks a lot about the identity of place and feels the need to root in a home town.."Our place" presents the lodgers of one house in Szczecin - the present and the former.
