Synopse

A story about an immigrant, with a burden from the past, wandering through a new country, looking for a work.
In case of "Polish Boris Pasternak and James Dean" who arrived in a new-born state of Israel in the late 1950' the story is far from being ordinary. Breaking with a "moral" mythology, he told a truth about his time in a documentary manner. He exposed a new ability to react to vileness.
His name is Marek Hlasko, he was in his early 20's when he met a prostitute name Eve, Robert the swindler, a jealous of jackals Grisha, the frustrated by inevitable poverty Lena, Harry the bastard, Isaak the gangster, Ben-Dov, the one who felt offended by the whole world...and many, many others.
People of many kinds, speaking many tongues, they came here for a new start but it turn to be a fiction. They build united society out of the melting pot they invent a truth about their common fate and the consequences of it are deep rooted in the nowadays Israeli society.
Israel is young at the time. Thrilling, sultry, full of song and stinking of sweat. It’s nice here. Beautiful. Exactly how you can imagine it: the country and the legend. Here, everyone is an actor. They haven’t got much charm yet, but that’ll come. You can always add some charm to a legend.
