The Cuckoo's Paradise

The Cuckoo’s Paradise is a view on ornithology and anthropology. The mysterious cuckoo bird has always been a messenger from the other world, the gate-keeper of the heavenly garden. It is a prophet, it knows how much time is left for each of us… it is a cursed bird, and at the same time it has been hurt and has become holy... People share their grief and sorrow with cuckoo, and "she" understands and sympathizes… This is the way this bird is perceived in Russian folk culture.
