Arvo Pärt - Even If I Lose Everything

“Even if I lose everything…, “ that’s what Arvo Pärt wrote in one of his workbooks. What does he mean by that? In our film, Arvo Pärt interprets with Immo Mihkelson his notes in those workbooks. Every record can call up thoughts, memories. Behind them we can see a person looking for his way. And we understand that the way is a narrow one. Is this “everything” something that has no value for him anymore? Is he saying that there is something special, a treasure that one could give up “everything” for? What kind of treasure is it? That’s what our film is about.
