Stand Up and Fight

The movie Stand Up and Fight is about Przemek Wieczorek, who is a world and european vice champion in Para-Taekwondo. At 20, Przemek, as a result of the railway accident, lost both arms. For the last 10 years Przemek has had to perform tremendous work on himself to come to the point where he is now. We learn from Przemek what he was feeling when he woke up in the hospital without arms, what the hell he had to go through when he came back home dealing with all difficulties. The main topic of the movie is Przemek’s preparation for competition in Para-Taekwondo. Przemek’s determination in overstepping his own limits deserves a great degree of admiration. Each scream, cry, fall on the floor express deep suffering and pain associated with the situation which he found himself in.
