Synopse
Redzo is frustrated. Being the only sane one in a group of 22 psychiatric patients, he’s been waiting for 17 years to be repatriated to Bosnia from a Hungarian refugee camp. He joined the group back in ’92 as they were rescued from the Bosnian war, pretending to be insane, unable to get out since then. A former pick-pocket and ladies’ man, this charming 75 year old divides his time between writing to various Governments and looking after his two lady friends (with one of whom he has a child). The arrival of a Bosnian psychiatrist offers a glimpse of hope… This is a sensitive, emotional and at times very funny, poetic, observational film shot over period of three years in Hungary and Bosnia, too. It provides a complex insight into the life of Redzo and the patients, while gently asking great questions: what does sanity mean and what would one do in order to survive.
