1972-1978 he successfully completed an education as a trade merchant in Vienna/Austria and as an advertising photographer in Stuttgart/Germany, trained by Jürgen Störk (Profoto). Since 2000 Walter Größbauer is a self-employed filmmaker and photographer. 2005 he and Claudia Pöchlauer founded FORTUNAMedia – Agency for film and art. His documentarydebut “Life is purely a matter of luck“ was shown on festivals in Austria and Germany. “Cairo All Inclusive“ was his first feature film that was to be seen in Austrian and German cinemas. “NEXT EXIT NIRVANA“, “INDIAN DREAMS“, "SUMMER IN VIENNA", "GUITAR DRIVER" and "WINTER IN HAVANA" were shown and awarded on national and international filmfestivals.
