After graduating in film studies from the Silesian University in Katowice, Joanna worked as a lecturer in the Film and Media Studies Department. In 2008, she enrolled in the postgraduate studies at the Polish National Film School in Lodz (PWSFTviT) in the Production Department and in 2011 she finished a course for creative producers at Wajda School, Warsaw. In 2012 she won Gesellschaft zur Wahrnehmung von Film- und Fernsehrechten (GWFF) Prize. Now, Joanna works as lecturer and trainer of pitching in Wajda School, Gdynia Film School and Krzysztof Kieślowski Faculty of Radio and Television University of Silesia. From the 2018 year, she cooperates with Władysław Ślesicki Film Foundation as a producer and KFF Market coordinator.
