Alexandra MÉLOT lived aboard a sailboat until she was ten years old. She is a producer, videographer and editor. After studying Fine Arts in Tours, France, she obtained a degree in cinema and spent two years in residence in Le Fresnoy, international Studio of contemporary arts. Since 1999, she has directed several films, fiction or documentary. She has edited some thirty award-winning films, including NORTH COAST by Andreï SCHTAKLEFF & Jonathan LE FOURN, NIGHT'S DRIFTERS by Bijan ANQUETIL, (French Competition Prize – FIDMarseille 2012) and KAMEN – THE STONES by Florence LAZAR (Louis Marcorelles Prize – Cinéma du Réel 2014). From 2016 to 2020 she is treasurer of the association Périphérie in Montreuil, supporting creative documentaries. After editing IN THE OPEN by Guillaume MASSART, she joined Triptyque Films as associate producer in 2017. She participated in EURODOC in 2020 with Déni Oumar PITSAEV for his feature film project IMAGO, supported in 2022 by the Sundance Institute development fund and by the Advance of Receipts of the CNC in 2023. She develops the projects of Yaël PERLMAN, Valentina BARRIGA, in international coproduction.
