Jūratė Samulionytė (1983) is one of a new generation of film directors in Lithuania. In 2007 Jurate received an MA in Film and TV Directing from the Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy. Her short feature film Noroutine received a Silver Crane award for Best Lithuanian Short Film in 2008. Her documentaries and fiction shorts have been featured at various international festivals and been awarded a number of prizes. Jūratė Samulionytė also works in different film projects as a director’s assistant, as well as in the field of film education for children and adults. Now she with her sister is working on a new creative feature documentary Good Afternoon, Dear Aunt!.
