My name is Denis Dobrovoda and I am an Oscar and EFA-qualified film director and producer with experience in both documentary and fiction filmmaking. My 2022 documentary The Cathedral won the Best Film Award at the 62nd Krakow Film Festival and a number of other awards worldwide. The Cathedral is a biographical documentary about Justo Gallego, an ex-monk who single-handedly built a cathedral in Mejorada del Campo, Spain. The film was financed with the help of the prestigious ScreenCraft Film Fund Grant and took part in the Dok.Incubator workshop. It was cinema released in 3 countries and sold to numerous territories, including Japan, South Korea and Switzerland. Aside from film I have also worked on a number of TV productions for British TV channels including ITV and Channel 4.
