Marianne Ostrat (b. 1983) is a film producer who has been working in the area of film production since 2004. She has a BA degree in audiovisual media from the Tallinn University and a MA degree in Film Arts with specialization in producing from Baltic Film and Media School. In 2008 Marianne received the Cottbus Film Festival GWFF Promotion Prize awarded to a promising producing student from the Baltics. In January 2009 she graduated BFM with a medium-length drama “Strays” (directed by Sutharsan “Sui” Bala, produced by Alexandra Film and Nocturne Productions), that has travelled to 15 film festivals from all over the world and received 4 honourable mentions at these events. After her graduation, Marianne joined Testfilm Ltd and the team of “The Measure of Man” in order to explore the field of international documentary filmmaking and deepen her consciousness of environmental issues and sustainable living.
