Barbora Chalupová is screenwriter and director of the emerging generation in the Czechia. Her greatest achievement is the film CAUGHT IN THE NET (co-directed by V. Klusák, 2020), which became the most visited documentary in Czech cinemas with over 570.000 admissions. The film premiered at CPH:DOX and was widely distributed. Her other success is THE LAW OF LOVE (2021), which premiered at BFI Flare in London and deals with the marriage of same-sex couples. In 2022 she was included in the selection of 30 under 30 by Forbes magazine. She is developing two feature films - the family adventure film ELECTRIC WONDER and a biographical film about mountaineer Dina Štěrbová, who became the first woman to climb Cho Oyu in 1984, TURQUOISE MOUNTAIN. She is a member of the European Film Academy.
