Michal Pavlásek is a social anthropologist, freelance journalist and documentarist, Turkish coffee lover, researcher at the Institute of Ethnology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Co-founder of Anthropictures - flexible association of social scientists providing independent field research. He was deeply involved in covering so called „migration crisis“ in the field of Southeastern Europe, he is author of many videoreportages and articles for czech and international media (aktualne.cz, alarm.cz, politicalcritique.eu, criticatac.ro). He reflected issue of migration in his movies Searching for the Exit (2016, Production Czech Television) and The Mass (2017). He is author of two ethnographical films: Another Vojvodovo (2013) and Time Bows Beneath the Burden of the Grapes (2012).
