Alex Igidbashian is an AmericanArmenian documentary filmmaker and photographer. He studied Film Production and Screenwriting at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA where he participated in a range of projects including documentaries, narratives, and TV Series. Alex temporary relocated to Los Angeles where he worked for the hybrid media group Psychic Bunny, before returning to Philadelphia to begin work on the documentary Haenyeo: Women of the Sea. The short documentary, which took Alex and the small crew to Jeju Island, South Korea, explores the quickly disappearing culture and traditions of women freedivers on this small island. Shortly after finishing university Alex relocated to Yerevan, Armenia where he began work with the documentary production studio Bars Media.
