Bettina Henkel, who was born in 1966 in Freiburg i. Br. (Germany), lives and works in Vienna where she has been teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts since 2000. She is head of the Media Lab and Research Lab Film & Television there. After training as a dancer she studied History of Art in Munich, Painting at the Nuremburg Academy of Fine Arts and Visual Media Design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna with Peter Weibel.
