Marija Zizovic was born and raised in Serbia and moved in 1996. with her father to Russia. She graduated film directing at the VGIK – Russian State University of Cinematography at 2003. and returned to live in Serbia. Worked as 1st assistant director in several Russian and Serbian films and series. She also worked as a director, editor and story editor of many reality shows. She was been director and director of photography of some short films and music videos. "When your dady buys you an elephant" is her first feature film.
