Born in 1972 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Graduated from Bucharest Film Academy in 1995. 2005 – 2007, General Director of Romanian National Television (TVR). Member of the European Film Academy, founder and president of the Transilvania International Film Festival, Full Moon – Horror & Fantasy Film Festival and initiator of the Gopo Awards – Romania’s national film awards. Founder of production company Libra Film, distribution company Transilvania Film, co-founder of Cityplex – a local exhibitor. His debut feature Love Sick premiered at 2006 Berlinale Internatial Festival, section Panorama and was awarded at several international festivals. Tudor's short film Superman, Spiderman or Batman won many festivals worldwide (e.g., Aspen, Valladolid) and became the 2012 Best European Short at the European Film Awards. His second feature Of Snails and Men was awarded Special Jury Prize at the Warsaw International Film Festival, Best Film of Punto di Encuentro section of Valladolid International Film Festival and Best Film at SeeFEST in Los Angeles.
