Dénes Nagy graduated at the University of Theatre and Film Arts of Budapest in the class of János Szász in 2009. As a guest student he spent a year at the Berlin Film Academy (Dffb) studying under the guidance of Krassimir Krumov and Valeska Grisebach. He has made several short films, both documentary and fiction, that were shown at many significant national and international festivals.His short fiction Lágy eső/Soft Rain was first presented to the international audience in Cannes in the 45th Directors’ Fortnight selection in May 2013. His 51’ documentary Másik Magyarország/Another Hungary had its premier at the 43rd International Film Festival Rotterdam, his latest documentary Seb/Harm is made as an original production of HBO Europe.
