Stefan Pannen neplánoval stát se producentem, ale jako nezávislý režisér se opakovaně ocitl v situaci, kdy se musel s producenty náročně domlouvat na podmínkách, které ovlivňovaly připravovaný film. Proto se v roce 1995 rozhodl založit fernsehbüro. Potřeby tvůrců, kameramanů a střihačů jsou dodnes v centru jeho zájmu.
