T.W. was born in 1958. He was graduated from National Film Academy in Łódź.. After graduation he worked as a assistant to directors: Roman Polański, Wojciech Has. He has worked as the director’s first assistant during the production of six feature films. Tomasz Wiszniewski is the author of one feature and several short and television films. Some of them were awarded with prizes of high esteem in Poland and Europe.

In 2004 it was also named the best TV documentary on the Festival of Film Productions in Chicago (“Hugo” award)
