Alakbar Aliyev (1985, Azerbaijan) graduated the documentary film course Ateliers Varan (France) in 2006. Before that he graduated the Azerbaijan State University of Art and Culture with a BA in Filmmaking (2005) and MA in Filmmaking (2007). He has worked as a Director at AZTV, directing programs about history, nature and culture. He was awarded as the Best Young Director by the Ministry of Sport and Youth of Azerbaijan Republic in 2011 after completing his film “Corn”, which was a part of the international project “15 Young By Young”. Currently he works on a TV drama series and develops documentary film ideas.
