Marko Cvejić, born on 1978 in Zrenjanin, Yugoslavia. Graduated in film and theatre directing at the Art Academy in Novi Sad. Founder of the independent film and video production company Mandragora Film, which has produced more than ten of his short and feature length films. Cvejić is especially interested in the syncretism between documentarism and fiction, which is very noticeable as the dominant characteristic of his work. Unburdened by language, space and national identity, his films present the broad cultural diversity of the Balkans. Having been presented at many international festivals, his films have been recognized as unique, and have received awards for it.
