Vittoria Fiumi (1980) is an Italian filmmaker graduated at the University of Manchester (UK) in Visual Anthropology with a thesis on ethnic identity in the Balkans. She worked as a documentary film director and producer for different Ngo's with projects in India, East Africa and Former Yugoslavia. She collaborates as a director of photography and script-writer for film companies specialised in documentary's film in Italy, Ireland, Uk and Switzerland. From 2007 until 2010 she worked for Fandango SRL, the leading film independent company in Italy. In 2010 she started her own company Fiumi Film. Her last documentary film "Nermina's World" funded by Cineteca di Bologna (IT), Film Für Eine Welt (CH) and Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg produced by Associazione Plinio and Tama Film, winner of Corso Salani Prize at Trieste FF as a best work in progress, premiered at Visions du Réel in 2014. She works and lives between Italy and Switzerland.
