Since graduation from VGIK in 1989 majoring in film production (live action movies) Viktorov started to work as a director. Although 90s film production stoppage forced him to suffer from unemployment, he always stayed busy working with documentary films. Since 2000s, he's been taking part in stage projects. Member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation.
