Oliver Ressler, born 1970 and based in Vienna, produces installations, projects in public space, and films on issues such as economics, democracy, global warming, forms of resistance and social alternatives. Since 2000 Ressler realized 29 films that were screened in numerous film festivals and at Centre Pompidou, Paris; ICA, London; New Museum, New York; Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, Porto; Museo de Bellas Artes, Caracas; MUMOK Kino, Vienna; Moderna Museet, Stockholm; MAMbo - Museo d’Arte Moderna di Bologna. A retrospective of his films is taking place at Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève throughout 2013.
