Ana Alexieva holds MA degrees in Media, Social and Gender Studies from Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany, and University of Utrecht, the Netherlands. Fellow of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. Between 2008 and 2010 she was program assistant at the International Women’s Film Festival Dortmund/Cologne and Documentary Filmweek in Duisburg, as well as a programmer for the International Videofestival Bochum. Ana joined AGITPROP as a junior producer in 2011 under the mentorship of renowned Bulgarian producer Martichka Bozhilova. In 2012 Ana graduated in documentary production from EURODOC and in 2013 from the EAVE European Producers workshop. Part of EMERGING PRODUCERS 2015 by Jihlava IFF. Project manager of Balkan Documentary Center, designed for strengthening the doc scene in the Balkans.
