Director Matthew Torne moved to Hong Kong in 2003 amid the chaos of the SAR outbreak and turmoil of the Article 23 controversy and immediately fell in love with the city and has been studying it political development ever since. He holds a Masters degree from Oxford University on Hong Kong's post 1997 political development. He was previously an Associate Producer for the Sundance film festival winning documentary ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE.
