in Sweden. Mónica has an academic background with a focus on cinema,
postcolonial and intersectional studies. She is passionate about issues
of identity, racism and political resistance, which are the themes she
explores in the films she produces and directs. Mónica is also one of
the founders of Panoramica Stockholm Latin American FF, where she
works as a programmer and artistic director.
