Tereza Plavecká studied Media and Communication studies and Social and Public Policy at Charles University in Prague. She worked in the field of media, communication, culture marketing, PR and fundraising. She creates documentary radio portraits for Czech Radio. In 2013 she founded a Bardzo fajný festival of Polish films and culture in Prague.
Her first short documentary The Forest (2017) received the Special Mention of My Street Film Award, her second short film The Crossing (2022) received first prize of the My Street Films Award as well as Student Jury Award and has its World premiere at Jihlava International Film festival 2022.The film was selected for the German-Czech Feinkošt film project and screened at screenings in the Czech Republic and Germany.
